Auto-Lab of Fenton is the “vehicle” and Barbara Bishop is the “driver” for helping to make each customer’s day a little bit better and brighter.
Bishop and her brother/business partner, Dave Gilles, have created a business environment in the last nine years that builds trust and a relationship between them and each customer.
“Yes, we run an auto repair business,” said Bishop. “That’s what makes everything work. But truthfully, we’re more about helping customers out, even when it goes beyond the realm of auto repair. Our customers are our friends and this community is our family. Our goal is to ‘make someone’s day.’”
One customer, an elderly lady who was having family issues, had nowhere to go, and Bishop and Gilles made sure she was set up comfortably in a nearby assisted living facility.
Two customers who recently moved to the area from out-of-state asked Bishop for suggestions about where to go, where to shop, and how to find the best doctors and hair stylists. Bishop gave her recommendations of local merchants and professionals, creating a network of trust and helping new friends.
In return, Bishop and Gilles have a mailbox full of thank-you notes and expressions of friendship from grateful customers who appreciate that a local business would ‘go the extra mile’ for them. “The thanks is really on our end,” said Bishop. “We are very grateful every day that we are able to help people through the doors of Auto-Lab and our community.”
Auto-Lab offers the same level of service as the dealerships do for they only hire ASE Master Technicians and always provide the latest in diagnostic equipment.
